Container Security
Vandalism & Theft
Vandalism and theft are unfortunately part of modern life, and most experts agree that the best ways to combat crime are often the simplest. Talk to the police and they will tell you to lock it up!
We at Mr Box agree with this ethos and supply a range of secure and lockable steel storage containers that allow you to safely store expensive tools and equipment. Tools in particular seem to be a favourite target for thieves, so we must try to keep them secure and locked up.
In 2006/2007 burglary accounted for 16% of police recorded crime. The police recorded 292,285 domestic burglaries and 329,759 non-domestic burglaries in 2006/2007. This is a huge sector of crime particularly when it is so easy to prevent with the right security. Mr Box supplies various products with our storage containers for extra protection and security.
Secure Containers
Our containers are constructed of tough anti corrosive steel, have marine spec' paint, and are specially designed to be vandal proof. We fit our stores with a high security locking system, which uses a steel shroud to protect the lock from interference from thieves and any other unwanted guests. Rather than splashing out on expensive anti-theft devices why not use our simple yet effective container lock box for protecting your goods.
Secure Storage Units
Our storage units are very secure and are ideal for storing valuable goods in remote locations. The units are constructed of steel and as such are robust.
Our units are also normally equipped with a high security lock box. The lock box is a special steel shroud, which protects the padlock and prevents interference with bolt-croppers, angle grinders, chisels or other methods of forced entry.
When used in conjunction with the high security padlocks we supply they ensure that unwelcome entry is very difficult.
A recent demonstration of this was recently reported on the BBC website. Our customer, who owns a self-storage depot, innocently rented 2 Mr Box supplied containers to individuals who turned out to be storing in excess of £500,000 of stolen goods inside. After a tip off the police raided the store park and tried to gain access to the containers. They were unsuccessful and so called Mr Box for help. We immediately put them in touch with the self-store owner who assisted them by providing keys to the units. Naturally we don't endorse the behaviour of the thieves, but it was refreshing to see that the thieves trusted the containers as being secure enough for their haul, and even the Police could not force entry into the containers.
