Mini-Sub Container Conversion
We were asked by a company in the UK who manufacture mini submarines to adapt a container for exporting their product to the US, where it would be moved from place to place for exhibiting.
The challenge was to allow the sub to be transported safely as it traveled around, and also be easily loaded and unloaded. We adapted a new 40' High Cube container and added rails so that the sub could be wheeled in and out on a cradle.
The sub was loaded in Cornwall and has since visited California, Hawaii, Florida, Virginia, Connecticut, and North Carolina.
