Control Room Container Conversion
Our client who specialises in laying underwater cables for off-shore wind farms asked us to create a Control Room to be added to one of their vessels. As well our standard insulation, lighting and electrics they required the units to have marinised windows (special shatter proof glass), protective cages over those windows, a heat pump (to provide either air-conditioning or heating), emergency lighting and data cable trunking. The unit was also equipped with a special "kick out" escape hatch.
