Mr Box was asked to assist with a project to place a sculpture within the grounds of the Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park as part of the unveiling of the Canvas TV logo at the annual Serpentine Summer Party.
The sculpture, commissioned by Canvas TV, a new global arts channel, was a life-sized adaptation of its logo designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid and was installed inside a modified Mr Box 40′ high cube container. We reduced the container length to 30 feet, and then removed one complete side wall. In order to maintain the structural integrity and to prevent the roof sagging the top rail was strengthened.
Mr Box then organised the logistics of delivering the complete installation to Hyde Park for the opening and it is now stored in our depot waiting for the next exhibition.
